Dream World Day 2

Today is my day 2 here. The place is windy and cold. The water heater turns cold after 3 minutes. Weather has been very good - sunny and the view of Mount Kinabalu is very clear. Tomorrow is our last day, hopefully the other groups finish presentation early and the weather is as good as today.

Free Internet Access??

I was given free internet access yesterday when I checked in at my favorite hotel here in KL. As I was typing, I wondered whether it truly free as now the rate is RM214 as compared to years back it was in the range of RM 180 - 190. Perhaps that's the price for the new upgraded LCD TV and also so called "free internet". I can't be bothered about having new or clearer TV as I'll be using the hotel to catch forty winks only. I need a fridge more to store my precious milk. Pretty frustrated when I was given a room with a malfunction fridge. I requested a new room and was given this more spacious room. Now, happy me is pumping while typing this entry.

That's the fridge, the LCD TV and the jug kettle.

Close-up my ice packs (in black pouch) and 2 bottles of fresh milk expressed late night yesterday. Missing my tiger cub a.k.a Noah. I bet he misses me too.

Pretty Sandwich Box

Still remember those days when we were served with a tray of full meal on board MAS. Those were the days....

Yesterday when I was on board the flight to KL, I was really surprised when the steward offered me a pretty box from their meal cart. At first I thought it's a bonus on top of the regular lunch tray meal... ended up that was the only meal that we are going to get - a box of sandwiches.

Imagine how disappointed I was, as I was really looking forward to a warm proper meal on board. Fortunately, I had a small lunch at my in-laws otherwise I would be famished by the time I reach KL at 6.30pm as I had only 2 pcs of sandwich for breakfast.

Anyway, this is how the pretty sandwich box looks like... such a pretty box for RM400++ trip from KK-KL but who needs a pretty box. Content is more important.

I'm a bird...

I was in Penang last week from 21-24 Jan attending a workshop held at the Paradise Sandy Beach Resort. I didn't manage to go out as the time was quite packed with activities & discussions until late at night.

The beautiful sandy beach at Tg. Bungah Penang

However, while taking a break on the sandy beach I did manage to do something daring the 2nd day with my boss...

Guess what... we went para-sailing!

The instructor telling us how to operate the chute...
see the excitement on our faces... fun eh

And here's the clip...

It was a fun, thrilling and exiciting 6 minutes flying experience. Now I know how the birds feel on the sky. If there is such thing as reincarnation - I want to be reincarnated as a bird...

Mothering Duty "On Leave"

For the time being I'm on leave mothering duty to my 2 kids as I'm attending 3 days training at KL (29-31 Oct) and a meeting on the 1st Nov 2007. Not that I'm too elated about being away from home thus my duties at home but this tired mind and body is in dire need for vacation and a little rest.

Like what I saw in the movie last night "Something's gotta give" Jack Nicholson quoted "Sleeping is something I like to do alone"...and for me I like to add "uninterrupted". I had a good night sleep last night finally after ? (I couldn't even remember how long it has been since I had 6 hours of sleep).

Hubby and MIL have to take care of Uaua & Momoi until I return on Thursday, hope everything will be just fine. I even left my smelly T-Shirt for Momoi to smell in case she misses her mama.

I'm fortunate darling hubby willing to take care of the 2 little kids. Thanks so much darling... So 3 more days to go, hang on a bit. I know it's a huge task at home.

UaUa's trip to Doulos

Uaua & myself finally made a trip to Doulos last Friday (19 Oct 07) afternoon after little convincing by Aunty J (that was 15 mins before I fetched Uaua). So instead of the usual trip from school to Dodu's house, I picked Uaua from school and told him we are going to meet a big ship like Toot (the ship in Honk, Toot & Swoosh-swoosh in Playhouse Disney channel)... and Aunty J on board. Naturally, Uaua got so excited and even asked me to drive faster so that Aunty J will not get tired waiting for us (how thoughtful...).
After a long & hot walk from the car park to the jetty armed with umbrella and my cooler bag, we made our way up the ship and that was when Uaua let out a high-pitched scream (like girly scream..) as he was terrified to climb the shaky steps. Fortunately, all fear is gone once we were on board and we had a fun time book-viewing with Aunty J & colleagues. Finally, I bought a few books- Dr James Dobson books for my self reading, few colouring books for Uaua, a book for Momoi (la kunun..) and a map.

Uaua and a book he grabbed for himself...

By 12.45pm after spending about 30-35 mins on the ship, I'm feeling a wee bit seasick and Uaua happy but hungry. We had a cup of deliciously cool strawberry juice and head for the exit.

"Mama when are we going home? I'm really-really hungry..."

We managed to take few photos with Aunty J & colleague before we head straight to Dodu's place for lunch (tummy grumbling...).

Aunty J, Uaua & Me

All and all, it was such short trip but worth a first-time experience for Uaua especially on a 93 years old ship.

One last shot - Me, Uaua, Aunty J & colleague-Yati (Alice took the photo...)
The End
