Govt seeks public feedback to improve national unity
PUTRAJAYA: The Government is seeking public feedback and ideas on ways to improve national unity in Malaysia.
According to a statement from the office of the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon, the feedback and suggestions received from the public would assist discussion on unity and 1Malaysia at idea generating sessions or labs.
The feedback sought by the Government Transformation Programme led by the Prime Minister’s Performance Management and Delivery Unit (Pemandu) can be submitted to Pemandu’s website www.transformation.gov.my via email at ideas@transformation.gov.my.
The public can also write in to Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Senator Datuk Seri Idris Jala at Blok Barat, Aras 3, Bangunan Perdana Putra, 62502 Putrajaya.
“Through the labs, the Govern-ment plans to come up with radical, practical and innovative solutions to achieve and promote national unity and social harmony in the country,” the statement said, adding that the effort to promote national unity, the cornerstone of nation building, was in line with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s commitment to “1Malaysia: People First, Perfor-mance Now,” and the creation of “One Dream, One People, One Nation” concept.”
In addition to national unity, Pemandu is also seeking public feedback on each of the six National Key Result Areas (NKRA) – reducing crime, fighting corruption, widening access to affordable and quality education, raising living standard of the poor, improving infrastructure in rural areas and improving public transport. — Bernama
***********************************************************************************Finally this is where we can voice out our opinions and suggestions to improve our country and anything we would like the government to hear.
So fellow Malaysians lets get our ideas to our government - perhaps one day someone up there will listen to us. I would be very interested to feedback on the Education system and extending age of child that qualify for child care centers or home nurse for small children and elderly... among other things.
