Last Sunday, I had a shocking buy. Earlier, before I went out I told hubby I'm going to buy a new washing machine as I was sooo frustrated with our washing machine (having spinning problem). But when I came home 2 hours later, I told hubby I bought a sewing machine instead at a price of RM300/= after sending Joshua to my mum's house. Hahaha...
Initially, me and mum had a few conversation about wanting to sew but no sewing machine. Then the thought of getting one just struck me when my mom told me she saw a cheap one sold at Tanjung Aru. So, that very afternoon I went to Tanjung Aru and bought the last sewing machine in the shop.
I had thoughts of getting one for a long time already but just didn't due to limitation of space and time to do the sewing. I also blame my mis-adventure on that Sunday morning for my hasty buy- I opened the seams of Moira's matress cover to wash it and thought I need sewing machine to sew it back (I was just too lazy to hand-sew).
Hubby once offered to buy me a sewing machine but after such a long time deciding which model to buy, he gave up on me. Alas, I bought one for me and my mom to use without much thought. I'm so happy with the new sewing machine and I have plans to sew so many things. Although it's just an ordinary sewing machine - leg-powered but at least I can produce so many things out of it and no need for me to send the our clothes to the tailor anymore -especially for small alteration.
I parked the sewing machine at my mum's house so my mum can use it whenever she wants. (So if I need to sew anything I have to go to her house.) She is also happy about the sewing machine. I hope she still remember how to use it or still able to thread the needle. Otherwise, she'll have to ask my dad or sister to help her. Nevertheless, having the ancient sewing machine made me and my mum happy.
